What Google expect from your website and how to follow Google guidance

Despite writing articles for various magazines (both online and print), I've never written about my SEO experience and how to approach it from different angles. (Search Engine Optimization).

In Google's position, the first step would likely involve creating a strategic plan. However, some key questions must be addressed before starting this task.

What is important? What is a good website?

Successful SEO strategies rely on several vital components: simplicity in code, abundant user-friendly information, compelling titles and descriptions, well-implemented markup, and enhanced loading speed. To achieve this, a plan that integrates various web recommendations is essential. Such a plan facilitates smoother crawling by search engines, ultimately improving your website's visibility and ranking potential.

At the very beginning, Google set the rules. And there is Google guidance on

as well as newer:

But instead of explaining and waiting for you to read, I will try to explain from Google's angle:

Website must be easy to crawl

While Google's search engine crawlers are impressive and capable of understanding complex website elements, they aren't infallible. If a website challenges Google's understanding, it may negatively impact search ranking.

Simplicity is Key for SEO

If you don't need a complex website, keep it simple. Avoid inline styles and overly advanced effects that Google's crawlers might struggle to understand. Focus on using standard HTML and CSS. Additionally, strive for a higher text-to-code ratio to improve search engine and user readability.

Reliable Hosting and Security

Choose a reliable web hosting provider that avoids blocklisting spammy websites. Install a certified Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate for added security and trust signals.

Think about the user who visits the website

Don't make user confused

There is not much drama here, but many failed. The user must feel cozy, a website with good speed, the navigation must be easy to use, and the interface must be logical. They are discussing Google's wish to rank design today, but it is for manual results. Yandex is setting up dozens of websites, so the first few pages are manually done when you are searching.

So, brand your company as much as possible, and think about customer service to be as good as possible. A satisfied customer is a happy customer. Usually, when I see a happy customer, I ask him for a genuine comment or to do something back. I'll make sure to send him a discount and thank him again later.

The ratio of text to code is the most failed thing on the internet.

The imbalance between textual content and code structure often proves to be a significant setback in SEO strategies, hindering optimal visibility and ranking potential. A harmonious ratio between informative text and streamlined code is crucial for enhancing website performance and maximizing search engine optimization efforts.

I often get called to do SEO services but refuse the jobs. Even after consultations, some business owners make a critical mistake: they prioritize flashy themes or templates over functionality. These themes look good on the surface but must be better coded underneath. Too many JavaScript and CSS files become cumbersome to maintain in the long run. Search Intent: The Cornerstone of SEO

Search intent, also known as user intent or query intent, is a fundamental concept in SEO (Search Engine Optimization). It refers to the underlying reason or goal behind a user's online search. A deep understanding of search intent and the ability to align your content with it is crucial for creating content that effectively meets user needs.

It's about ensuring users find valuable and relevant information when they search for something. In essence, SEO intent revolves around providing what users need, not tricking search engines with keyword stuffing. This, in turn, significantly contributes to better search engine rankings.

By prioritizing high-quality content that addresses users' questions and solves their problems, you'll naturally attract a more engaged audience genuinely interested in your offerings. This is the heart of successful SEO – focusing on user satisfaction over manipulative tactics.

Focus on Quality, Not Manipulative Tactics

While buying and building links via Fivver or cheap online services might seem like a shortcut, Google's advanced algorithms can often quickly identify these manipulative tactics. While Google's system isn't foolproof, it's important to remember that penalties for manipulative tactics can be severe.

Backlinks are a valuable component of SEO, but unfortunately, the practice of buying them is prevalent among some SEO managers. For this reason, I recommend focusing on building trust and earning backlinks organically and through Digital PR. It is a more sustainable and ultimately more rewarding approach to SEO. Ultimately, Google aims to understand a company's value based on user experience and web presence.

Digital PR

Digital PR focuses on creating high-quality content and building relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers in your industry. The goal is to secure organic mentions and backlinks on reputable websites. It improves your SEO ranking and boosts your brand awareness and credibility.

BERT: Understanding User Intent, Not Just Crawling

BERT is search engine based on artificial intelligence

BERT, short for Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers, acts like a superintelligent assistant for search engines. It goes beyond simply matching keywords—it delves deeper to understand the true intent behind your search. By analyzing the context and meaning of your words, BERT refines search results to deliver exactly what you need, not just pages containing vaguely related terms.

In essence, BERT helps search engines bridge the gap between your query and your information needs. It translates to a smoother, more effective search experience, ensuring you find the most relevant results for your goals.

Turn Satisfied Customers into Brand Advocates

Usually, when I see a happy customer, I ask them for a genuine comment or a favor in return. I then follow up by sending a discount and expressing my gratitude. Remember, exceptional customer service is critical to building a solid brand. A satisfied customer is a loyal advocate.
